With a backdrop of Luna Park at the rear and uninterrupted forward views of Port Phillip Bay, Mångata is an impressive and original space to host your perfect wedding reception. Our venue is ideal for smaller, more intimate weddings, but can also hold up to 180 people for larger celebrations.
Questions often asked when booking a cocktail style reception are ‘Will there be enough seating?’ and ‘Will there be enough food?'. The simple answer is yes. There is an art to creating the perfect balance of food, drink, formalities and comfort when arranging any stand-up event, and we are certain that, between Pauline and the crew from ACC Catering, we have the perfect formula. When going through the booking process, certain reception set-ups, food combinations and flow of the evening will be mapped out so that no one goes hungry or is left without a chair for the entirety of the night. The beauty of this style of event is all of the add-ons that can go into the evening: oyster and prawn bars on arrival, antipasto stations cleverly made up, cheese tables and midnight snacks at the end of the event. These are all perfect ways to add a little something extra for your guests, while also ensuring that food is still a main event on your perfect day.
High tables, couched areas and benches will be provided by the venue, but it is certainly worth looking at our preferred suppliers, Dann Event Hire & Event Agent, who specialises in providing and sourcing additional furnishings to create a unique memorable space.
The venue itself, which is drenched in natural light, with floor-to-ceiling windows and polished timber floors throughout, has a clean and natural colour palate that can be transformed before your eyes.
